Sticky Cashew 'Chicken'

Trying to cut back on takeaway but still want the same taste? Coat our Chicken-Style Strips in a sweet and savoury sauce, add in some cashews and serve with rice and we can guarantee you won't be needing to jump on Uber eats again any time soon...
Ingredients
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 packet Plantry Chicken-Style
- Original Strips
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 cup roasted, unsalted cashews
- 1/4 cup spring onion, chopped
- Spring onion & sesame seeds, to garnish
- Cooked white rice, to serve
Sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp hoisin Sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp water
Method
- To make the sauce, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil and water in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan on medium-high heat and fry the Plantry Chicken-Style Original Strips until golden, add in the garlic and fry until fragrant.
- Pour in the sauce and simmer until bubbly. Mix together the water and cornflour to make a slurry, pour into the pan and stir until thickened. Stir through the cashews and spring onion.
- Serve stir fry over
